Argentina and Chile share 5,300 kilometers of border and a mountain range. This journey takes them from east to west: Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Perito Moreno and Bariloche on the Argentine side; Puerto Varas and Santiago on the Chilean side.
In the middle, the Andean Crossing: an entire day of sailing and bus rides around the Nahuel Huapi, Frías and Todos los Santos lakes until we reach the other side of the mountain range. Fifteen nights, two countries and one of the most beautiful journeys on the continent.

In the morning, panoramic city tour. During the walk we will visit the Civic Center, starting with the National Congress and Plaza de Mayo, adorned by the government house (Casa Rosada), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo. We will also visit the Teatro Colón, one of the world’s jewels of opera, and then the traditional neighborhood of San Telmo, the residential Palermo and the famous Recoleta. In the evening, we suggest an optional dinner experience with a tango show.

. Half-day excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park (does not include entrance to the national park). From the city, we will take National Route 3 west, passing through nurseries, estancia farms and the slopes of Mount Susana, a witness to the activities of the prisoners of the former recidivist prison (1902-1947). The section La Portada marks the entrance to the park (6,300 hectares). Its secondary roads lead to Bahia Ensenada, Isla Redonda, Cañadón del Toro, the Alakush inn and Lago Roca with the Casita del Bosque. Later, we will visit Black Lagoon and the Castor dams of Bahia Lapataia. In the afternoon, we suggest sailing to Lobos Island with the Cape of the End of the World Lighthouse.

Full-day excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier (does not include entrance to the national park). There are 80 km of asphalt between El Calafate and the glacier. Entrance is through the Los Glaciares National Park, where the vegetation changes to pines, vines, and ferns, and highlights the notro, the intense reddish flower of the Patagonian Andean forest. Perito Moreno is a river of solid water, a mass of ice in continuous movement formed by the accumulation of snow over centuries. The excursion covers the various walkways that allow you to observe it from several points. We recommend booking the mini-trekking on the glacier in advance. As it is a Luxury category, you can choose the half-day or full-day excursion from the hotel’s menu.

Half-day excursion through the Chico Circuit. We will skirt Lake Nahuel Huapi among imposing mountains, Playa Bonita and Isla Huemul, all the way to the foot of Cerro Campanario, where an airship (not included) operates to climb to the summit at 1,050 m. From above, the lakes Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno, the lagoon El Trébol, the peninsulas San Pedro and Llao Llao, Isla Victoria, the hills of Otto, López, Goye and Catedral can be seen, as well as a panoramic view of San Carlos de Bariloche.

Bariloche – Puerto Varas (Andean Crossroad)
We will leave Bariloche towards Puerto Pañuelo, where we will embark for an hour-long journey on Lake Nahuel Huapi to Puerto Blest. The buses that will take us there will take us along the Frías River for 3 km to Puerto Alegre. After that, we will sail on Lake Frías towards Puerto Frías, where we will complete the exit formalities at the Argentine customs and continue by bus towards Peulla. We will sail towards Petrohué, navigating Lake Todos los Santos and, along the way, we will visit the Petrohué Falls (no entrance required). Finally, we will sail along Lake Llanquihue until we reach Puerto Varas.

The services are private, except for the cruises, which are shared. In El Calafate, the hotel Eolo is closed from May 1st to September 30th; during those dates, the rate is confirmed with the hotel Xelena or similar. In Bariloche, the hotel Llao Llao does not include the resort fee and the excursion of the Circuito Chico is replaced by the navigation to Isla Victoria and the Arrayanes Forest in a VIP cabin.
